All-on-4 is a method in which a whole dental arch is carried by four implants, the two at the back tilted to make use of the bone you already have. In suitable patients, temporary fixed teeth are fitted as a rule within 24 hours, often without bone grafting.

When All-on-4 Isn’t the Right Choice, and What Is
What All-on-4 is and how it works.
With complete tooth loss, or when the remaining teeth can no longer be saved, a whole arch can rest on just a few implants. With All-on-4 that means four implants, two at the front and two tilted at the back, carrying a fixed bridge. The tilt of the back implants makes use of the bone that is available, so in many cases lengthy grafting is avoided.
All-on-6 uses six implants and makes sense with a larger jaw, or when we want the load spread more widely. All-on-X is the umbrella name for the concept of a fixed arch on several implants, because the exact number depends on the findings. Which variant is right is decided only after an examination and a 3D analysis.

Do I really get teeth the same day?
In suitable patients we fit a temporary fixed bridge as a rule within 24 hours. The condition is sufficient initial stability of the implants, which is assessed during the procedure. The final restoration is made once healing is complete.
Do I need bone grafting?
Often not. The tilted back implants make use of the bone you already have, so extensive augmentation is avoided in many cases. Where bone loss is pronounced, we consider Zygoma or pterygoid implants.
How long does All-on-4 last?
Published studies follow cases for more than ten years, with high survival rates. In practice, longevity depends on hygiene, check-ups and habits such as smoking.
