Most journeys with us begin online. You send us your concern, any recent x-rays or a CBCT scan if you already have one, and a few photographs of your smile. A remote first look has limits, and we are honest about them. It is a screening step, not a final plan. Not every case is finished in one trip. Where a definitive restoration is planned on implants that need to integrate first, biology sets the timetable. Bone remodelling around an implant progresses over weeks, with mature lamellar bone forming in the region of twelve weeks after placement [2]. That is why a second visit for final work is often scheduled a few months after the first. We plan both trips at the outset so you can arrange leave and flights in advance rather than at short notice.<\/p>\n
The journey does not end when you leave Zagreb. Implants do best when they are looked after over the long term, and the data here are clear. A meta-analysis of controlled trials found that patients on a supportive maintenance programme had significantly higher implant survival and markedly less peri-implant disease than those without one [3].
