An assessment of the condition of your teeth, gums and bite, plus a 3D scan of the jaw that shows the bone and the exact position of the implant.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

2. Implant placement<\/h3>

The procedure is done under local anaesthetic or analgosedation; placing a single implant usually takes about half an hour.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

3. Healing and osseointegration<\/h3>

The bone fuses with the implant surface. The resting period lasts three to six months, depending on the site and the quality of the bone.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

4. Abutment and final crown<\/h3>

Does implant placement hurt?<\/h3>

During the procedure you feel no pain because the area is completely numb, and with analgosedation you can even sleep through it. In the first few days mild swelling is possible, much as after a tooth extraction.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

How long does healing take?<\/h3>

As a rule three to four months in the lower jaw and six to eight months in the upper jaw, precisely so that the bone can fuse with the implant undisturbed.<\/p><\/div>\r\n

When do I get my teeth?<\/h3>
